I have had a very busy couple of days! I got that internship type placement I went for an interview for - that started on Monday. It was pretty exciting, especially as I got to go into the cells beneath the court room! On Tuesday I got to be an extra on Hollyoaks (UK soap opera) too haha...
Last week on the monday I hosted a little come dine with me type event and then on Wednesday one of my best friends who is from Minnesota but came to school over here for a year came back here for a visit, during which we went to watch an amazing band in what used to be a Turkish Church in Liverpool but is now a bar, got stranded in Manchester and went back to the school we used to go to.
I enjoyed 'translating' things from English to American in a really phony accent which she kept telling me off for - i.e. icing sugar = frosting, waistcoat = vest and so on!
What to wear has taken a complete back seat for me at the moment, because mostly I only think about what would be appropriate to take the dog out for a walk and don't seem to have any time to do my make up.
My Strawberry Dessert - picture stolen from Nicola:
Stood outside the main entrance of school:
Schooooooool:
Pretty bridge in the school grounds:
L-R, My friend Tony, Me and my friend from the United States Amy:
Fun monster costume in Tesco - my friend Tony is such a poor driver we got pulled over by the police on the way there because they wanted to check he wasn't intoxicated:
Church come bar - Alma de Cuba:
I'm off skiing tomorrow so there'll be another massive hiatus sadly. TTFN!

Looks so fun! The school is so beautiful! I don't see many places like that on the west coast. We have all sorts of strange bulidings from the 60's but that's almost as cool as it gets. haha
ReplyDeleteMy internet shuts down on my email sometimes! I hate when that happens! Good luck with the computer troubles and have fun skiing - jealous!
Wow, looks like a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear from you again, that sucks about your internet and computer aren't getting along. Have a good trip!
Congrats on the internship and being in the soap opera! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the internship! I love all these pictures. Your school looks gorgeous.

That sounds like a pretty hectic schedule you've got there! Hope you had a great time. And I know what you mean about not caring much about outfits when there is too much going on!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the internship and goodluck. Beautiful pictures, that looks like a lovely place and that strawberry dessert looks the best!
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm jealous! I thought I was your "American Friend." I guess i can at least be your "American cyber-nerd friend." That sounds distinctly less glamorous.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun.
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats! I think you are having a good time there. ;D Have fun girl.
