Post-Holiday Blues

So, I've had possibly the booziest fortnight of my life due to drinking 90p a litre wine and carrying a hip flask of Brandy to spice up hot chocolates and obviously keep warm. I've been skiing in France with some of my best friends from school and have not enjoyed being thrown back into reality, particularly because that reality contains a 4000 word essay for next week. It was someone's bright idea to get the coach to France - it was fine on the way out because we just had a fair bit to drink to help us sleep, but got told off on the way back because apparently we made too much mess and so had to endure the 19 hour journey stone cold sober.

Outfit wise, I picked up this Zara shirt dress before I went away and can't stop wearing it. It is so easy just to throw on. The belt was a complete steal in the Urban Outfitters sale but is sadly hanging on by a thread at the moment. The ring is 'vintage' - it belonged to my Great-Grandma - I love the detail in it and how gothic it looks!

I was hoping to come back from the trip skinny because of all the fresh air and exercise that comes with a ski trip, but overlooked the fact that as well as the fresh air, there would be mountains of carbs, cheese and alcohol. Oh well!
Hope everyone has had a Happy Easter!

I love the outfit! The dress is simply to die for. Don't you hate when that happens to belts?! My favorite one is at that moment too but I used an electric stapler to prolong it's life a little bit :)
Thanks for the comment! I'm so in love with maxi dresses right now but I'm having the hardest time finding good ones! I'll probably make one...

  6. Carbs, cheese, and alcohol are the nectar of the Gods. Also, I'm kind of suicidally jealous that you were getting drunk in France for the past 2 weeks. Nothing sounds better right now.

I've been working on some assessments this week and next week I'm going back to university. I adore your shirt dress, its gorgeous. I love how it looks against your hair colour.

  13. Sounds like a fun trip! Skiing sounds so far off from the weather in my area though... but I love your outfit! Your ring is just so cool - antique jewelry is by far the best.
